WordPress / Blogger. For self-hosted blogs, I use WordPress, which gives us a lot of control over design and has lots of really cool plug-ins. To really get noticed fast by Google, I suggest my clients use Blogger (less control over design, but Blogger blogs are indexed very quickly by Google).
Bulletin board / Forum. This is a great way to build a user community centered around your unique products and services. These are easier to create than you might think. And once they are up and running, they can quickly become magnets for your clients, friends, supporters, etc., who have a lot to say (and write). We can customize the look and feel so that it integrates fully into your website.
On-line calendar. Lets your clients know where you are and what you are doing.
RSS syndication. If you're creating a lot of written content, we may want to create RSS feeds so that others can easily plug your content into their own websites, spreading the word even more about what you do. This just means that it's easy to "syndicate" your writing to multiple sources. I also use RSS as a way to help you manage the content on your web site.
Podcasting. Want to literally tell your site visitors about your work? Then why not record a podcast and post it to your web site... It's a lot easier than you think and I will help you do the recording, edit it, and post it for all to hear.
Video podcasting. Like podcasting but with visuals! If you have a webcam, then you can video podcast. Again, it's a lot easier than you may think and I can help you with all aspects of it.
On-line scheduling. Do you need to schedule your services? My custom on-line scheduling tool lets you set up and maintain a calendar so existing and new clients can reserve a time to meet with you. Once it's up and running, it's easy for you to administer in just minutes.
